The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 who observe Zakah; 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
