The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
