The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
