The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 these are the heirs 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
