The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
