The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 to their promise, 9 Those are the inheritors 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
