The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 (but whosoever seeks after more than that, those are the transgressors) 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 In the cattle, too, is a lesson for you. We let you drink of that which is in their bellies, and there are many benefits in them for you, and you eat of them, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
