The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 who give charity, 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 to their promise, 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And assuredly We created above you seven paths, and of the creation We have not been neglectful. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
