The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 who give charity, 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
