The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are the heirs 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
