The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
