The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And those who keep a guard on their prayers; 9 Those are the heirs 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
