The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And who guard their private parts, 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
