The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
