And We verily sent Noah unto his folk, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)? 23 Then said the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people: this is no other than a human being like unto you, he seeketh to make himself superior unto you; and if God had willed, He would have sent down angels; we have not heard of this among our fathers ancient. 24 He is only a man possessed; so wait and watch him for a time." 25 Noah prayed, "Lord, help me; they have called me a liar". 26 So We inspired him (with this message): "Construct the Ark within Our sight and under Our guidance: then when comes Our Command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family, except those of them against whom the Word has already gone forth: And address Me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the Flood). 27 When all of you settle in the Ark, say, "Only God Who has saved us from the unjust people deserves all praise". 28 And say: 'Lord, let me land a blessed landing. You are the Best of harborers' 29 There are great Signs in this story; and surely We do put people to test. 30 Then, after them, We brought forth another generation; 31 Then We sent to them an apostle from among them (who said): "Worship God, for you have no other god but He. Will you not take heed and fear God?" 32
