We sent Noah to his people, and he said, "My people, worship God; you have no other deity except Him. Will you not fear Him?" 23 But the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: This is only a mortal like you who would make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels. We heard not of this in the case of our fathers of old. 24 He is only a man possessed; so wait and watch him for a time." 25 He said: O my Lord! help me against their calling me a liar. 26 So We inspired him (saying): "Construct the ship under Our Eyes and under Our Revelation (guidance). Then, when Our Command comes, and the oven gushes forth water, take on board of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except those thereof against whom the Word has already gone forth. And address Me not in favour of those who have done wrong. Verily, they are to be drowned. 27 And when thou hast embarked on the Ark - thou and those with thee,- say: "Praise be to Allah, Who has saved us from the people who do wrong." 28 And say: 'Lord, let me land a blessed landing. You are the Best of harborers' 29 Verily in that are signs; verily We have ever been provers. 30 Then, after them, We created another generation. 31 and sent a messenger to them from among themselves: "Worship God alone. You have no deity other than Him. Will you not then fear God?" 32
