1/4 Hizb 35
< random >
Said the Council of the unbelievers of his people, who cried lies to the encounter of the world to come, and to whom We had given ease in the present' life, 'This is naught but a mortal like yourselves, who eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink. 33 And if you obey a mortal like yourselves, then most surely you will be losers: 34 Does he promise you that after you die and become dust and bones you will be brought back to life again? 35 ۞ After, after with that which you are promised! 36 There is only the life of this world: We die and we live: there is no rising from the dead for us. 37 He is but a man who hath fabricated against God a lie, and in him we are not going to be believers. 38 He said: 'Help me, Lord, they belie me' 39 He said: In a little while they surely will become repentant. 40 Then the shout laid hold of them in truth, and We made them a refuse; so away with the wrong-doing people! 41 Then after them, We created other generations. 42 No nation can outstrip its term, nor can it put it back. 43 We then sent our Noble Messengers, one after another; whenever a nation’s Noble Messenger came to it they denied him, We therefore united the succeeding with the old, and made them history; so far removed be the people who do not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our signs and clear authority 45 to the Pharaoh and his nobles. But they behaved proudly and thought themselves superior people. 46 and they said, 'What, shall we believe two mortals like ourselves, whose people are our servants?' 47 So they rejected them, calling them liars, and they too eventually became of those that were destroyed. 48 And We gave Moses the Book, that haply they would be guided; 49 And We made Mary's son, and his mother, a Sign, and We gave them refuge on a lofty ground, a peaceful site with springs flowing in it. 50
