Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
The chiefs of the people who did not believe and denied the life to come, though We had given them good things of this life to enjoy, (said): "He is only a mortal like you. He eats as you do, and drinks as you drink. 33 So if you follow a man like yourself you will certainly be doomed. 34 Doth he promise you that you, when ye are dead and have become dust and bones, will (again) be brought forth? 35 ۞ Such a promise will never come true. 36 There is no life beyond our life in this world: we die and we live [but once,] and we shall never be raised from the dead! 37 He is just a man who invents a lie about God; we cannot believe in him." 38 The messenger said, "My Lord, help me, for they have rejected me." 39 (Allah) said: "In but a little while, they are sure to be sorry!" 40 So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people. 41 Then We raised after them other generations. 42 Every nation has an appointed life span. 43 then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time their messenger came to a people, they rejected him. So We destroyed them one after the other, and let them become mere tales. So away with the people who will not believe! 44 Thereafter We sent Musa and his brother Harun with Our signs and an authority manifest. 45 To Firon and his chiefs, but they behaved haughtily and they were an insolent people. 46 They therefore said, “Shall we believe in two humans like ourselves, whereas their nation is servile to us?” 47 So they rejected them both, and became those who were destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the Scripture, that they may be guided. 49 And We made the son of Maryam (Prophet Eisa) and his mother a sign, and We gave them shelter on a height, a place to stay and visible springs. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
