Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 Implore not today; verily ye from Us are not to be succoured. 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or is it that they have not recognized their Apostle, so that they deny him? 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77
