O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 Leave them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they think that by increasing their wealth and children 55 Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. 56 Those who tremble in fear of their Lord, 57 and believe in His messages 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it, perchance, that they have not recognized their Apostle, and so they disavow him? 69 Or do they say: "There is madness in him"? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest! 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
