I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We [but want to] make them vie with one another in doing [what they consider] good works? Nay, but they do not perceive [their error]! 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And [withal.] We do not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: for with Us is a record that speaks the truth [about what men do and can do]; and none shall be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or they say, “He is afflicted by a demon”; in fact he brought the Truth to them, and most of them dislike the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or is it that you ask them a recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best, and He is the best of those who provide sustenance. 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 And verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed deviating far astray from the Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
