1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 Are quickly giving them goodness? In fact, they do not know. 56 Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.) 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 Indeed My Verses used to be recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels (denying them, and with hatred to listen to them). 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they not pondered the saying, or came there upon them that which came not upon their fathers, the ancients? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Or do they say: There is madness in him? Nay! he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse from the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
