1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O you apostles, eat things that are clean, and do things that are good. We are surely cognisant of what you do. 51 And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We hasten in good works for them? No, they are not aware. 56 Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 those vie in good works, outracing to them. 61 We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one. 62 Nay, their hearts are in overwhelming ignorance with respect to it and they have besides this other deeds which they do. 63 Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, 66 in arrogance, as if you were abandoning a story-teller. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
