Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 who consider nothing equal to their Lord, 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in perplexity as to this, and they have deeds besides that that they are doing. 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 Do not cry out for help this day, for surely you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)." 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 Or they say, “He is afflicted by a demon”; in fact he brought the Truth to them, and most of them dislike the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Did We have mercy on them, and remove the affliction that is upon them, they would persist in their insolence wandering blindly. 75 And already We overtook them with chastisement, but they were not submissive to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves. 76 So that when at last We open up the gate of severe punishment on them they will be overwhelmed with despair. 77
