O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 And verily, this community of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: remain, then, conscious of Me! 52 The people divided themselves into many sects, each with their own book and each happy with whatever they had. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; 63 To the extent that when We seized the wealthy among them with punishment, they immediately began imploring. 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. 71 Or dost thou ask them for tribute? Yet the tribute of thy Lord is better, and He is the best of providers. 72 You are calling them to a Straight Way, 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
