1/2 Hizb 35
< random >
O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they think that by all the wealth and offspring with which We provide them 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 who believe in the verses of their Lord; 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 My communications were indeed recited to you, but you used to turn back on your heels, 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
