It is He who gave you hearing, sight, and hearts, but only few of you give thanks. 78 And He it is Who multiplied you in the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered. 79 And He it is Who giveth life and causeth death, and His is the difference of night and day. Have ye then no sense? 80 Aye! they say the like of that which said the ancients. 81 they say: "What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 Say O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “To Whom does the earth and all that is in it belong to, if you know?” 84 They will say: "To God." Say: "Then why do you not bethink yourselves?" 85 Ask them, "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, 'God's.' Say: 'Will you not then be godfearing?' 87 Say, "In whose hands lies sovereignty over all things, protecting all, while none can seek protection against Him? Tell me, if you have any knowledge." 88 They will say: "God's." Say: "Then why are you so deluded?" 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
