It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 It was He who scattered you on the earth, and before Him you shall be gathered. 79 And He it is Who giveth life and causeth death, and His is the difference of night and day. Have ye then no sense? 80 On the contrary, they said the same as what the former people used to say. 81 They say, "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 We and our fathers were promised this before; it is nothing but ancient lore!" 83 Say: "Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 84 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: will ye not then heed? 85 Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty Throne?' 86 They will surely say: God. Say thou: will ye not then fear? 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will surely say: "(The dominion over all things) belongs to Allah." Say: "Whence are you then deluded?" 89 Nay! We have brought to them the truth, and most surely they are liars. 90 No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him! 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
