Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
