Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 then those whose scales weigh heavy with good works will be successful. 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 Exalted then be God, the King, the Real. There is no god but He, the Lord of the glorious throne. 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
