Say: O my Lord! if Thou shouldst make me see what they are threatened with: 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 The Fire will scorch their faces, and therein they shall be grinning. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
