Say (O Muhammad SAW): " My Lord! If You would show me that with which they are threatened (torment), 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 Until, when death comes to one* of them, he says, “O my Lord, send me back!” (The disbelievers) 99 so that I may do good works in the world I have left behind." Never! It is indeed but a meaningless word that he utters. A barrier shall stand behind such people till the Day they are raised up again. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say, “Our Lord! Our ill-fate overcame us, and we were the astray people.” 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
