Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 “Therefore my Lord, do not group me with the unjust.” 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 [But] He will say: "Away with you into this [ignominy]! And speak no more unto Me! 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 But you made a laughing stock of them to the point where it made you forget My remembrance; and you went on laughing at them. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 He will say, “How long did you stay on earth, counting by the number of years? 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. 117 And say: O my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 118
