Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 When death comes to any of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will say: "We stayed for a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count of this." 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 And whoever invokes with Allah another god-- he has no proof of this-- his reckoning is only with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not be successful. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
