Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 “And my Lord, (I seek) Your refuge from their coming to me.” 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 Those whose scales are heavy shall prosper, 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
