۞ And those who do not hope for Our meeting, say: Why have not angels been sent down upon us, or (why) do we not see our Lord? Now certainly they are too proud of themselves and have revolted in great revolt. 21 On the Day they will see the angels, no glad tidings will there be for the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) that day. And they (angels) will say: "All kinds of glad tidings are forbidden for you," [None will be allowed to enter Paradise except the one who said: La ilaha ill-Allah, "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) and acted practically on its legal orders and obligations]. 22 And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about. 23 Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest; 24 The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),- 25 the true Kingdom on that Day shall belong to the Merciful a harsh day for the unbelievers. 26 and a Day on which the evildoer will bite his hands [in despair,] exclaiming: "Oh, would that I had followed the path shown to me by the apostle! 27 “Woe to me – alas, if only I had not taken that one for a friend.” 28 he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." 29 And the Apostle cried out: O my Lord! surely my people have treated this Quran as a forsaken thing. 30 Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners: but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help. 31 And the disbelievers say, “Why was the Qur’an not sent down to him all at once?” This is how We sent it in stages, in order to strengthen your heart with it and We read it slowly, in stages. 32 And they come not unto thee with a similitude but We bring thee the truth and an excellent interpretation. 33 those who are going to be driven to Hell upon their faces, have taken an utterly wrong stand and their way is most erroneous! 34
