Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication. 45 We then gradually withdraw it towards Us. 46 And He it is Who maketh night a covering for you, and sleep repose, and maketh day a resurrection. 47 And He it is Who sends the winds as good news before His mercy; and We send down pure water from the cloud, 48 so that We may bring dead land to life thereby, and give to drink thereof to many [beings] of Our creation, beasts as well as humans. 49 And We distribute it among them in various ways that they may ponder and reflect; yet most men disdain everything but denial and thanklessness. 50 And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner. 51 So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving. 52 ۞ It is He who has joined the two seas; one palatable and sweet, the other bitterly salty and has established a barrier between them as a partition. 53 And it is He Who has created man from water, and has appointed for him kindred by blood, and kindred by marriage.
