Exalted is He who put constellations in the heavens, a radiant lamp and an illuminating moon -- 61 And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness. 62 The worshipers of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth, and when the ignorant address them say: 'Peace' 63 and who remember their Sustainer far into the night, prostrating themselves and standing; 64 And they who say: O our Lord! turn away from us the punishment of hell, surely the punishment thereof is a lasting 65 verily, how evil an abode and a station!"; 66 and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes]; 67 And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty; 68 Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - 69 except he who repents and believes and does good works those, Allah will change their evil deeds into good deeds; Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful. 70 And whoever repents and does good, he surely turns to Allah a (goodly) turning. 71 (And the servants of the Merciful are those:) who do not bear witness to falsehood and who; if they have ever to pass by what is vain, pass by like dignified people: 72 and who, whenever they are reminded of their Sustainer's messages, do not throw themselves upon them [as if] deaf and blind; 73 who say, "Lord, grant us joy in our wives and children and make us a model for the righteous." 74 These are the ones who will be rewarded with lofty mansions in Paradise, for their steadfastness. They will be received therein with greetings of welcome and salutations of peace. 75 Abiding therein; goodly the abode and the resting-place. 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent. 77
