Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon. 61 It is He who has made the night and the day, one proceeding the other, for whoever wants to take heed or give thanks. 62 And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. 63 And who spend the night prostrating and standing, for their Lord. 64 And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering; 65 Indeed it is a most wretched abode. 66 And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean. 67 Who do not invoke any god apart from God, who do not take a life which God has forbidden except for a cause that is just, and do not fornicate -- and any one who does so will be punished for the crime, 68 The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; 69 But only those who repent and believe and act righteously will have their sins replaced by virtue; God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 70 And whoever repents and does good, he surely turns to Allah a (goodly) turning. 71 Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance); 72 Those who, when they are admonished with the Signs of their Lord, droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind; 73 And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous." 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace! 75 Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence. 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent. 77
