Blessed be He Who has placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp (sun), and a moon giving light. 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 And the bondmen of the Most Gracious who walk upon the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them they answer, “Peace”. (Good –bye) 63 And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing, 64 And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish; 65 Indeed, it is an evil abode and evil dwelling-place." 66 They are those who are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but keep a balance between the two; 67 Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. 68 and his torment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide in a state of ignominy, 69 except the one who may have repented (after those sins) and have believed and done righteous works, for then Allah will change his evil deeds into good deeds, and He is very Forgiving and Merciful. 70 He who repents and does good works truly turns to Allah in repentance, 71 those who do not testify falsely and when they come across something impious, pass it by nobly, 72 Who, when reminded of their Lord's revelations, do not fall for them like the deaf and blind; 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 They will be rewarded for their perseverance with lofty mansions in empyrean where they will be received with greetings of peace and salutations, 75 Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an abode and place of rest! 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
