The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 So they have indeed denied (the truth - this Quran), then the news of what they mocked at, will come to them. 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
