The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers. 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 But there comes not to them a newly-revealed Message from (Allah) Most Gracious, but they turn away therefrom. 5 For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule. 6 Do they not see the earth, how many of every noble kind We have caused to grow in it? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 9
