And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
