And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 Fir'awn said unto those around him: hear ye not? 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
