And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 Moses replied, "My Lord, I fear they will reject me, 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
