And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
