And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 [But when Moses had delivered his message, Pharaoh] said: "Did we not bring thee up among us when thou wert a child? And didst thou not spend among us years of thy [later] life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 [Pharaoh] exclaimed: "Behold, [this] your 'apostle' who [claims that he] has been sent unto you is mad indeed! 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
