۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 They are always harassing us. 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two bodies saw each other, the people of Moses said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 So We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Strike the sea with your staff”; thereupon the sea parted; so each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
