۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. 53 (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. 57 And treasures and a fair estate. 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
