۞ Then We revealed Our will to Moses, saying, "Set forth with My servants, in the night, for you will surely be pursued." 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
